"...We care about the safety of young people..."At Youthsafe we believe that the high rate of serious injury amongst young people aged 15-25 years is unacceptable. We know that many of these injuries are preventable and we are committed to making a positive difference to youth injury in NSW. Don’t worry, we’re not ‘kill joys’ out to limit young people’s fun by wrapping them in cotton wool. On the contrary, we want young people to live happy, fulfilled and exciting lives free from the limitations associated with a serious injury. We understand that most people rarely discuss safety unless something goes wrong or someone gets hurts, but here at Youthsafe we bring safety to the forefront. To us safety is about being proactive, taking initiative and constantly improving our ability to assess and manage risk. We are an independent, non for profit organisation, so we have the freedom to address safety across the range of settings where young people get injured – we are involved in road safety, rail safety, workplace safety, sport safety and recreational safety, including safer celebrations. Our work is underpinned by our values –
