Youthsafe Forum 2011 Summary of the Day
130 participants ditched the gramophone and got in tune with today's young people at the Youthsafe Forum 2011.
The annual Youthsafe Forum was held at the Sydney Masonic Centre on Thursday 1 December, 2011. A fantastic day was had by all with excellent presentations by leading academics about adolescent brain development, puberty and the effects of alcohol and other drugs on the still maturing mind. Afternoon workshops explored injury prevention challenges and strategies within education settings, on the roads and in the workplace, which proved to be a great success.

yPack: Understanding Young Workers
 Understanding how young people think, feel and operate can make a big difference to work safety and help employers choose safety strategies that work with young people’s strengths while working around any limitations.
This is why Youthsafe has developed yPack, a series of resources for Field Officers, employers, parents and apprentices. It has been developed in partnership with the Group Training Association of NSW thanks to WorkCover NSW’s WorkCover Assist Grants Program.

Youthsafe is pleased to announce that the new Safe Alternative Transport Scheme guidelines are completed and available. 'Getting Them Home Safely' is primarily designed for community based professionals who want to develop safe alternative transport arrangements for young people in their community to stay safe.
